A Sunny and Blissful Wedding at Alhambra Hall

Laura and Jonathan had their wedding at wedding at Alhambra Hall – in one of Mt. Pleasant’s finest and most sought out neighborhoods. It’s stunning back in this gem of a neighborhood. It was a gorgeous sunny, windy Saturday on the water. Usually temps are warming up at this time of year but they had a perfect temperature of 68 degrees.

Laura and Jonathan, or “JT” as his friends and family call him, finally tied the knot on Saturday, March 26th. We have all been waiting for this day to come. All you have to do is be in this sweet couple’s presence to know they are meant to be together, even if that does sound cliché. It’s true! JT even said so himself!

When I arrived, I was so excited. Not only to see Laura and JT but I got to work with some of my favorite vendors again!! It’s more fun to work along side friends. I was greeted by Laura’s best of friends. You want to talk about a support system, this girl has the best.

I am not a crier, but the father daughter first looks get me every time and this one was no different. Both she and her dad melted seeing his daughter all dressed ready to walk down the aisle. It was heartwarming. Then we prepared Laura for her first look and letter exchanges with Jonathan. He is so in awe of her. They were so calm and collect. If you want to know what a first look is and why I am PRO first looks – visit this blog!

This one got me when I took it.  Laura you have such a beautiful relationship with your precious dad. It was such an honor to capture it.

Laura and Jonathan did a first look and letter exchanges with Jonathan. He is so in awe of her. They were so calm and collect. The moment was perfect.

After the ceremony, we were getting the reception shots and also watching the wedding planners try to shew 2two birds out of the venue lol! It was a sight to see.

As they were introduced in, we went straight into first dances and toasts. I have to say her sister’s, Lisa’s, takes the cake.

Well, I don’t know – Zach had the crowd laughing too! JT and Laura made me promise not to tell you all anything embarrassing so I’m not sure what else to talk about…I guess we can talk about divorce statistics lol! Zach!! But he followed it up with a heartfelt toast to his brother and the happy couple.

Lisa’s toast had props and even I kept catching myself laughing out loud!  These aren’t just your any kind of props. She tied each of these props to marriage beautifully and with lots of laughs from the crowd. She had red shoes from when Laura was a little girl and Laura wore these everywhere. Where Laura took many faceplants in these shoes, lol – JT and Laura will get to walk through life together as a pair.

Now let’s talk about Furball, this was my favorite prop. Furball was Laura’s best friend growing up and as Lisa said, the torch is being passed on to JT. You won’t always look the same, just as Furball. (You can tell that Furball was very loved haha) He has clearly aged with time but your love and friendship will continue to grow.  Lisa was laughing through it, I couldn’t stop laughing myself!

Then cheez-its. Took me back to my childhood because it was all I ate myself! Laura has cheez-its AT ALL TIMES! It is her go-to snack. Even if she is having a bad day, JT can grab some of these and brighten her day over anything! Cheers to the happy couple and go Cocks!! We had some rivalry fans under one roof!

They are truly such a loved couple and it showed the entire night. We ended the night with a magical sparkler exit and they exited on a golf cart to Shem Creek. A local favorite spot in Mt. Pleasant on the water to continue the celebration! It was an honor to be a part of their special day. I couldn’t be happier for Jonathan and Laura!
